value of 1997 Jackos

hallolé,
my only Jackson is a '97 King_V-1 and I heard at this period there wasn't that high quality.
Do you think newer or older ones sound better?

I just have no chance to compare.
And I'm wondering what's meant with "mid 90 to Fender-Ara Jacksons arent that high quality"
