The ebony that comes on the new Selects seem to be pretty light, I remember that there was another thread on that a while ago! Maybe they don't dye them to look absolutely black anymore?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You're right, the rosewood on the dinky seems darker than the ebony on the soloist. I'll put some lemon oil, it should looked darker after.

I noticed it on my SL2H as well, the fingerboard is extremely light for ebony. My dealer said he suspects it to be rosewood. He's not really pleased with Jackson since the takeover...
I don't care what wood they used, it's a cool guitar (shattered glass) but I like your graveyard better I must say. This is one of the most beautiful I've seen so far, the night sky is amazing, the way the moon reflects off the clouds. Congrats man.
