            Re: Schon question

The Jackson's I own are ser. # 0010 & 0195 . The Larrivee ser. # are O188 & 0347 I've seen 05XX .The reason PJ Marx pickups were use on the Larrivee is that Chandler was distributing both Schon's & PJ Marx's (after Jackson). Larrivee also had the EMG's as another pickup they used (one of mine has them)he also used his own in house pickups on his own guitars.

              Re: Schon question

I've never played one of the Schon guitars but they
are kinda growing on me. I remember not liking them
              when they were new.
Next time I see one I'm going to try it out.

                Re: Schon question

Well, I got the axe and I love it. The only problem is that I can't figure out the 5 position switch... the middle selection sounds like a full bridge humbucker, but a little nasal (out of phase)... yet the lead position sounds weaker (almost split). Do any of you guys know what gives?

                Thanks,

                  Re: Schon question

MY Jacksons wired 1 BH ,2 outside coils of both,3B+N H out of phase,4inside coils of both,5 NH. There are many different way to wire these monster switch. A Jackson reviewed in6/87 was wired 1BH, 2B+N,3NH,4 ONE coil of both &5 one coil B. I've never played a H/H Larrivee both of mine are H/S/S.
