i have plate 88574 i think (well over 500 i know, but its at my dads right now) and have always wondered if what worth anything. i dont really plan on selling it thiugh because i cant seem to figure out its real origin or if it matches the neck i have
as for the matter at hand though, seems like most plates near $100 and i can see a low number like that being worth more. how about let your friend give you a $100 loan with the plate as collateral and pay him back if you decide you want it again
I've paid $150 for a low number SD Jackson plate before.
rps14a, your neckplate is from a Jackson Model 88 Limited. The necks are very distinctive, and many of us can tell at a glance if the plate goes with that neck.
its laughable especially since its now log'd & cant be passed of on a fake. BTW the body he was selling didnt look like no jackson body to me, wrong trem route wrong belly contour.
The only reason for someone to buy this is to make a fake Jackson which is not right and there should be a law against selling these neckplates,I mean why make a fake,
just save up some money and buy the whole guitar. There are enough fakes floating around as it is.
