I was in NYC this weekend, and while wandering around the Village, I checked out the East Village Music Store. Not too much of interest, except the first Schon guitar I've ever seen in person. The guy at the store told me that it was a 1986 Jackson-made one, the 16th one made, and that the original owner had sold it to him. I saw no reason to doubt him, since it had all the hallmarks of Jackson manufacture, including Jackson-logoed tuners and the "NS6-xxxx" serial #. Interestingly, this one had a HSS setup and an unusual Floyd-copy that I'd never seen before. The trem was clearly stock, but I had thought that all of the Schons had that unusual fixed tailpiece setup. In looking on the Web for info, I see that there was a trem offered, but I have never seen this design on any other guitar, ever.
Anyway, it was close to mint, and the guy was asking about $1500, which seems right around ballpark for such a rarity, though I wasn't that interested in it.
