I think they would be more popular if they had gold hardware instead of the chrome. I knwo it influenced my decision when I was looking for an RR1.

Maybe it looks OK in person but, in pictures, the RR's electronics plate looks poor in chrome. It's too much area to cover in chrome, IMHO. Too similar in appearance to a cheesy mirror'd pickguard. Spoils it for me. I'd love a transparent Rhoads otherwise, though.

Actually I kinda like the chrome on the Cherry Burst, but for sure Gold would like better. I'm still hoping to check out a plain Natural RR.
