That translates to $1579.45 according to the inflation calculator (1985->2005). I think that is the dealer price so I wonder how much was added to the customer price?
Most WOs from San Dimas era seem to have prices under 1000usd. Friend's solid black KV 1985 student WO states total price at 840usd.
