Re: 1946 @ the Gallery
Quilt top XTRR, flame neck (oiled finish with carbon rod inserts), ebony board with reverse sharkies, 2 EMGs, non recessed Floyd and gold hardware Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

@Shreddermon
Alright, but you can assure me that it doesn't have a Ibnz headstock "just for the fun" right?
@ Neilli
That is going to be one sick XTRR
@Chris
It had also has Koa chickenwings
I always get a fire crackle, when I eat something that was alive when I ate it.

Re: 1946 @ the Gallery
Sully, I'm thinking of a neck thru Learn painted "black with blood veins" crackle in the future. All for you
I gotta say I'm not big on those "blister" crackle designs. I like the wider BC Rich crackles.

Re: 1946 @ the Gallery
next to the washburn wonderbar, crackle finishes had to be the worst guitar trends in the 1980s. oy.

[ QUOTE ]
Chis, What wood did you choose for the body?
[/ QUOTE ]
Its a bolt on, but koa neck and koa body with a zircote fingerboard and a 3/4 quilt archtop. I'll put the full specs up once I get the whole thing finalized. I'm still waiting for Jackson to reply to my corrections (they missed the archtop part).
I dunno sully, there were so many bad trends in the 80's. Crackles are pretty low on my list of offenders.
