PC-1 neck vs PC-3

Sorry I'm cross posting here. I didn't get any response in the Import forum. I thought I would ask here.

I was wondering if the PC-3 neck has the exact same demensions (back shape) as the PC-1?

No. The PC3 is a tad different. Not sure how much, but I've had both at different times and the PC-3 edges felt more rounded than the PC-1.

Didn´t the PC3 come with two different profiles over the years, one more like the PC1 and one slimmer? I think the switch might have come at the same time they switched from Wilkinson to Floyd. But in any rate, this is just me trying to remember the specs from the catalogues... which actually might not have been totally accurate in the first place.

I own both and the PC-3 neck is the same width as the PC-1, just not as thick and has a flat profile on the back.
The PC-1 neck has a distinct C profile and is a lot thicker.
The only thing I can think to compare a PC-3 neck with would be a PS-2 neck. They are darn near the same profile.
My PC-3 is the Floyd version, can't say if it's the same neck as the Wilkinson.

Sounds like the PC-1 neck is more my style. Figures it has to be the more expensive one [img]/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img].

I actualy want a neck like Phil has on his personal PC-1 guitars. They are almost 1/8 to 1/4 inch thicker than the production models. It's praticaly a baseball bat, but man is it comfy.
