rhoads serial # RR0594 (A?)

Can someone find out what the "A" means at the end of the
serial #??? I have never seen one before.
It is a RR1 student, dots, kahler, not bound,
But I want to know why there is an "A" stamped in at the end of the serial #. Any help is appreciated.

Well my old student was RR0799 ...

Either that's a designation for it being a second or maybe (A) = Artist?
