This thing here is a USA KV of some type, and the guy says it's a KV1, but I thought KV1s all had Kahlers. Anyone know the deal here?

Re: What exactly is this? King V
gone now. Sweet price too.
Anyhoo, if it's really a Mustaine sig KV-1, it woulda had a Kahler, but the guy said it was refinished, so it probably had the tuna mounted at that time (flatmount Kahler - no route)
There's also a knob missing - should be 3 and a switch.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I don't think it's even a KV-1.
Let's say you replaced a Kahler flatmount with a T.O.M, wouldn't you have to recess the T.O.M, since it would be way higher than the Kahler?
Also, the body looks kinda big too. I need to compare it to pics of a double Rhoads.

Nope, you wouldn't have to recess the TOM, but you would have to make sure the posts/inserts were deep enough - practically surface-mounting the TOM.
The neck is angled back for a Kahler just as it would be for a TOM, because the Kahler saddles are about that high.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Ok that was mine. Now Zeegs apparently I bought it the way it was. The kahlers they came with had no route. It is a Mustaine it's got his signature right next to the logo. The TOM is not surface mounted at all it's got plenty of downward travel left.1+2 = McGuirk, 2+4 = She's hot, 6-4 = Happy McGuirk

Re: What exactly is this? King V
Yes it is. I had a Newc moment and wanted to see what it might look like with black bevels. Like I said I had planned on getting it refinished at some point. Things don't always work out like you plan. 1+2 = McGuirk, 2+4 = She's hot, 6-4 = Happy McGuirk

Re: What exactly is this? King V
Well, I'll probably leave it white and play it for the time being. Eventually though, I might be getting it refinished.
By the way Matt, check your Paypal.
