It's finally here. According to the background story this one was built for Dave Mustaine as one of the early Y2KV prototypes. Dave returned the guitar to Jackson cause he didn't like the inlays. After that the guitar was shown at Winter NAMM 1998 in LA. Joey Z of Life Of Agony got it from there and used it until 2001.
The guitar is as close to a Gibson Flying V as Jackson will ever built. It's full mahogany with Gibson style control layout, bridge and inlays. It also had Gibson style tuners before Joey changed them. The neck scale is 24 3/4.
22 jumbo frets. Duncan JBL (?) and 59N pickups.
I haven't been able to prove the Mustaine connection through docs but here is what I have:
- Witte verified the Y2KV development with Tim Wilson and this guitar was
talked about as one of the early ones built for Dave
- Rob Lane 98 NAMM report states the guitar as Mustaine's -> http://jacksoncharvelworld.net/namm1.html
- The WO number is sequential to Dave's mirror top KV.
- When the guitar was on Ebay in 2002 it was stated as Mustaine's
I haven't been able to contact Joey Z and Megadeth webmaster said "no" when I tried to ask them if the guitar was Dave's.
Here are some pics...

Plays and sounds amazing! More rock and roll than my other Jacksons. METAL HEART!
