That's what I think too. On the Y2KV development docs Dave is often referring to Gibson 59 V so he probably had something like that in mind and Jackson just decided to build a very accurate Flying V as a starting point.
I can't see why Tim Wilson, Rob Lane and the photographer who got this from Joey Z would tell a similar story if there wasn't any truth to it.
I would like to know for sure though so any help is very much appreciated.
