Progress is a little slow because I have several projects on the go as usual. I had to order all new black hardware for it. When that came in, I had to drill new post holes for the TOM, because the chrome TOM had the small bushings. Then AFTER I drill the new holes, I notice that the bridge is slightly off centre. So, I plugged the holes with some epoxy, and hardwood dowels, and redrilled them. I installed all the hardware, and decided that since it's going to be a while now before I can afford the paintjob, I would wire it up, and play it as it is for now. The only thing is, I will have to re-wire it again, because something is not right. The EMG sound too weak, and I think it might be a bad volume pot. It looks great with the black hardware, even if the paint is crappy.

I am in the process of refinishing an old Aria Pro II CS400, and I'm going to try the paint myself. It will be winter camo too. After it's done, depending on how it turns out, I'll be tackling a Peavey Destiny, and doing that in...


yup, winter camo!!!


By the time those two are done, I'll know well enough whether I should do the KV myself, or take it to a pro. I'll post pics of it with the black hardware shortly.

Here we go. I was thinking about switching the position of the volume, and toggle, but I kinda like it this way.

Can someone tell me where on Jim Shines page is the Hetfield info. By the way Zeeg here is what my KKV is gonna look like, infact it is a perfect duplicate.

Oh man. That still looks sweet in just white... I remember seeing that auction and talking to Buzzsaw and considering picking it up.
