If you want bright, stay away from mahogany... that's a pretty warm sounding wood. Maple is pretty bright, so is swamp ash, alder is a little warmer. Here's some info on wood descriptions.

Bright would be ash, walnut and maple. There are other more exotic woods with alot of brightness but those are the three more common. Lacewood is similar to alder, so its more balanced. Mahogany and koa are warm woods.

Yes, the SL2GX was done for Guitarxpress in a run of just under 60 guitars... 20 in Kermit Green, 20 in Chlorine Blue, and there were supposed to be 20 in Root Beer, but I'm not sure all of those were completed.The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.
