So...how does one go about ordering a custom shop?

I've seen some custom shops over at vwall guitars over the years, and I've always wanted one. How does one go about placing an order for a batch? Would I need to gather willing buyers? If so, how many? Is it less costly to order through batch than it is individually? How long would it take for a batch order to be completed?

Jackson doesn't offer discounts for small batch runs anymore.
Dealers may or may not cut you a deal on the price for a batch - it's up to them.
Depending on the complexity of the batch, it could take 14+ months.
There is the rare possibility that one of the builders may start the batch early (as was the case with the Greenies recently - Mike Shannon saw the order/spec sheet and thought it was cool enough to do early).
