• I tweaked my Dinky!!

Here are some less than stellar pics of my custom shop Dinky. #7117, bolt-on, 24 fret rosewood board, matching headstock, and the top of the body, neck, and headstock are bound. It originally had some factory Jackson pickups and a J-1500 setup. I played with it for a while, and it just wasn't me.

So I got a Duncan Custom 5, a Duncan Jazz, and a 3 way switch to hook it all up. The pickup rings are from Dave...black anodized aluminum, and they have the oversized footprint so no extra holes. Wired it up, set it up, and it rips.

Sweet!! Is that the gold one that was on ebay not too long ago?

i think it would look better without the pu rings, direct mounted to the body. the two big black rectangles stick out too much

It is indeed the one from ebay.

The p/u's were already mounted with rings when I got it, so I just got some replacements that matched the mounting pattern.

I think Greg Crowe was bidding on that one, and I was interested in it as well. Looks even more awesome with the zebra pups.

                  I like it. Nice job.

Cream pickup rings like a Les Paul goldtop maybe?

Looks good - that is a very unique dinky.
