This is the one I was looking at (scroll down the page a bit), and it's quilted alrighty. It's also out of my price range at the moment.

Earlier PC1s had quilted maple f'boards. Not sure exactly when they switched over to flamed maple. Say, maybe four/five-ish years ago or so, I think.

I've heard varying stories about why the switch. Some say because Jackson found out the quilted maple was less stable as a f'board material. I'm guessing it was more of a supply and/or cost thing, though. Flamed maple is a bit more available than quilted maple.
