If this is question about having bevels on a Rhoads which has a figured top, then you need to ensure that you specify a top which is thick enough to absorb the whole bevel, otherwise the bevel will cut through the join.....Popular is not the same as good

Would need to be a 3/4 top at least I would think. I think the DA Archtops have bevels, if you look at Paul's I think it has natural binding bevels which looks pretty fuckin sweet. I wanted the same thing on my custom so I asked for something similar.Comment
