My first Jackson!

Hello all,
I thought I'd introduce myself to the boards. I'm a new Jackson owner as of Dec 26. I found this beauty on ebay. Lucky me!





It's a 2003 SL1. It was in brand-new condition when I received it. Still had the price tags and everything on it.
It has been fitted with Dimarzio pickups (Evo2, YJM, Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues), and some trick wiring ... coil splitter for the bridge, phase for the mid, and an on-off toggle for the neck pickup.

Except now I keep the BC rich on the end to protect the Jackson from dings [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Alright, so I've been playing this axe quite a bit since it was new (to me).

The only thing I'm disappointed in is those shoddy photos I took back then. So I had a re-shoot tonight [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]







I've been doing lots of experimenting with this thing. It's my first floating trem guitar, and I just found out what happens when you put Beefy Slinky strings on with the stock 3-springs on the bridge, and try to tune to E. Let's just say I'm playing drop-D now. I've got some extra springs on order, but I kinda like it tuned like this. [img]/images/graemlins/band.gif[/img]
