I got this from Guitarxpress by the way. I got my PC1 from him and it was set up extremely well - strings were too low for me to dig in for vibrato so I had to raise them. I adjusted the truss rod after about a year or so on it. But nothing extreme.
I am not making a big deal out of it. I set it all up myself and did not contact the dealer or Jackson. But would you not be a little pissed off? It's a plain pain in the ass to have to do this stuff and I should not have had to.
I agree - usually you tweak a guitar to your own liking - TWEAK being the word here. What I got was rediculous. I mean come on a quarter turn of the truss rod? Full turns on the Floyd???
Since we have an "Ask Jackson" on this forum I simply asked what the deal was. It is simply not good business on their part as a company to have this happen.
I would not have brought this up again but I was responding to Xenophobe. So I suppose when we get shitty customer service we should just shut our big mouth and be greatful after dishing out our hard earned cash huh?
I fully expected to have to TWEAK the set up when I got it. And I prefer to do that myself. Hell I don't want to let any repair guy near this paint job! But lets be honest here - this was extreme and I am calling it like it is.
