• Fernandes sustainer for Jackson PC-1?

Hello,
I'm the owner of a Jackson Phil Collen signature and I have a couple questions about the sustainer system.
Lets say I'd like to swap that jackson sustainer system for a Fernandes one.
1) Would my guitar need drilling to fit the Fernandes on/off and mode switches or can the holes already drilled be used?
2) Is it ok to mount the sustainer pickup driver in one of those metal pickup housings?
I mean...the housing being made of metal wont mess with the sustainer magnetic waves or anything, will it?

Thanks a lot in advance.

A Fernandez FSK-401 will fit in place of the original Jackson sustainer.
As for the metal pick-up housing, yes, it will interfere with the sustainer. It will still work, just not as well.

And if you want to get rid of the Jackson sustainer system, working or not, remove it carefully and I'll be glad to take it off your hands.
