Score - 1991 Jackson Custom Shop Star

I'm proud to introduce the second Jackson Star found from Finland. 1991 custom order, 24 frets, reverse headstock, slanted neck single coil (Charvel 3DR influence), beautiful rosewood board with reverse sharkfins, stunning blue with pearl finish (ordered as Candy Blue but doesn't look like it?), laquered neck, Schaller Jackson FR...

I purchased the guitar from the original owner and it's in excellent condition. Here are some pics of Jackson serial 7577...

I had a similar one with string thru bridge.

Now you need a neck thru Star!!

Nice score indeed! Was the star shape available during the early 90's without going to the custom shop?

Steve - Jackson Star has never been a production model so it's custom order only. I've only seen 5 or so bolt-ons but that doesn't mean there aren't more out there. You can find all specs of the black one on my website.

Paul - I think I have 12 at the moment. They are here:

It's a small collection but I've went through a lot of guitars. I don't have the money to build a huge collection. I keep a second job to fund this hobby.

Ethan - I have no issues playing stars but I don't solo too much. But they are very different from other shapes. Definately try one of the current Charvel Stars somewhere before ordering an expensive custom.

As for how I find these I really don't know. I guess I'm always looking. This one wasn't for sale but I heard about it from someone who knew the owner. He connected us and I made an offer. He tought about it for a while and decided to sell it eventually. Funnily it turned out that the guitar he had traded in to buy this one was my first USA Jackson.
