I try to keep my guitars nice. All of them, not just the Jacksons.

Same here.... I try to keep my guitars in "brand new" condition.

To me it's showing respect for the (beautiful) tools that enable me to make music. Probably a habit carried over from my martial arts experiences...

I don't beat on my axes, but given that I've bought them all secondhand, you can tell they've been around. My most pristine guitar is my Charvel Model 1A, and it stills has a couple of small knocks, if you look for them

i try to take care of mine as well. i dont see the point of treating them like shit just to get the beat up look. ive had a white rhoads for over a year or 2 now and it has no chips yet!

All of mine are mint, but the one that gets played the most is my early 90's Custom Dinky. It's not really beat bad, but it has it's share of battle scars. It's had it's bridge changed (upgraded to an OFR and not a brand new one either), The bridges posts are gold and the rest of the hardware is black, pickups changed, New frets, the maple neck is darkened from years of playing, but it feels the best out of all my guitars. Mind you I got it this way, but I look at it as a sign of a great players guitar. I always pick it up before the others.

I don't mind blemishes at all!

In fact if I can get a second hand guitar a bit cheaper because it's been played and loved hard, I'm all for it. I love a guitar with character.

442, I almost bought that RR. It had just a tad too much "character" for me. Still really cool though. I just waited a bit and got a PCS with less character.

442, that has to be one of the coolest Rhoads I've ever seen.

i have a WRMG in trans-black. i've smacked the back of the headstock into the wall a few times. its a small room. fuck knows how i got a blemish on the lower horn which is on the side just before the top. none of the damage shows up on camera and you have to look very closely to see it with the naked eye. there's also a shitload of scratches on the back of body including one that looks like some utter fuck tried to carve their name into it - could be just buckle rash no thanks to a friend of mine. i'd get revenge but all his guitars are scratched to fuck anyway. ok, it's not a usa guitar - duh, just noticed where i'm browsing. looking at the above photos, i'd cry if i had a usa jackson it it so much as had 1 minor blemish, simply because they cost serious dough.

Yup, This one is courtesy of our own MOSHWITZ. The name carved in the back may be a bit much, but I thank Dave every time I pick it up. He's a hell of a guy and this guitar makes me feel like I know what I am doing

Cuda, thanks for the compliments. Your dragon is SWEEEEEET!

I only have one minty guitar, I also only buy used dogs (the animal) I figure no one would want me if I was a guitar or dog, so you gotta give the 2nds a chance. Karma kind of thing.

Oh, plus they are cheaper this way!
