Oh my!
2 of beat up I used own are posted here The Rhoads, Lee refretted with jumbo frets(the original frets were in bad shape) and cleaned up a little.
That shotgun Soloist ,When I bought it, it wasnt even wired and no switch/knobs.
Once again, Lee at GMW (pictured ) did the great job before Ron went to pick up.

I have a beat up Jackson coming early next week.
I hope it is a nice one.

It's birdseye Jack. It looks really clean in the pics, but it's darkened quit a bit from use. It actually brings out the figuring a little bit more, but you can tell it's been played!

Thanks! It's funny, everyone gives me compliments on the neck. When I first started looking for this one, I wanted it for the neck too, but I had a change of heart when I found it and started bugging Slash to sell it to me. If I had one wish, it would be that the neck profile was a little thicker, but it's not that bad.

Re: speaking of blemishes!!

I just read Exodusattack's post and thought about how long ago it was that this guitar was on the bay when Ron bought it about ...what two years ago now? Then I noticed that he was a gold member and wondered how long ago he joined and saw that he had a post number in the 160's. I thought we needed 500 posts to reach gold status?

it's where Ron used to store his Skittles. Handy for during gigs.

from what i remember, it was giving the name shotgun soloist because the previous owner of the guitar experimented with knob placement. I don't know why he didn't experiment on a ugly guitar rather than a beutiful SL like that.
