Well, perfect to me.

This thing is a blast to play! Incredibly comfortable. The shorter scale length really does make all the difference in
the world. While I'm sure most would probably say "Ick", I love it. It's perfect to me. And I would order it all over
again, despite the *gasp* 8-12 month wait time. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I find it amusing that when Ron asked the
Custom Shop guys about the wait time, they were able to say "8-12 months" and keep a straight face.
All right, I'll let it go.
So, anyone remember this one?
I bought this one a few years back. I loved it. Completely loved it. But over time, I started to loathe the longer
scale length on Jacksons. I don't seem to mind it on my Fender Strat, and my acoustics. I just didn't care for it
on the Jacksons. Don't know why. (Also didn't care for the placement of the volume knob either.) But since most
Jacksons have a 25.5" scale and 24 frets (and usually a volume knob right in the dam way!), the only way to get
what I wanted was through the CS. So, as much as I loved this one, I sold it and ordered a new one. Actually,
I sold all my Jacksons, except for the korina Archtop (24.75") Remember this pic?
Well, shortly after I sold the black Soloist, it showed up on ebay. And Audiophile (bud since high school)
hit the BIN (after some harrassing on my part). Like most people, he has no problem with the regular scale length.
It doesn't bother him. I, however, can't dial in a decent tone on my amp, but I sure am picky about my guitars.
Here's a pic of both of them -
So, the moral of this story is that I love it, Matt kicks ass, and the Jackson guys do great work. Thanks fellas!
(Although, whoever is in charge of the strap button department may need to take a continuing education class
or something. I mean, it's a strap button! How hard is it to drill a straight hole?)
