• Simple. Perfect. Simply Perfect.

Well, perfect to me.

Pics first. Text below for the readers.

Bigger pics can be seen here - Web page

korina Soloist
ebony board
24.75" scale
22 frets
hand painted logo

This thing is a blast to play! Incredibly comfortable. The shorter scale length really does make all the difference in
the world. While I'm sure most would probably say "Ick", I love it. It's perfect to me. And I would order it all over
again, despite the *gasp* 8-12 month wait time. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I find it amusing that when Ron asked the
Custom Shop guys about the wait time, they were able to say "8-12 months" and keep a straight face.
All right, I'll let it go.

So, anyone remember this one?

I bought this one a few years back. I loved it. Completely loved it. But over time, I started to loathe the longer
scale length on Jacksons. I don't seem to mind it on my Fender Strat, and my acoustics. I just didn't care for it
on the Jacksons. Don't know why. (Also didn't care for the placement of the volume knob either.) But since most
Jacksons have a 25.5" scale and 24 frets (and usually a volume knob right in the dam way!), the only way to get
what I wanted was through the CS. So, as much as I loved this one, I sold it and ordered a new one. Actually,
I sold all my Jacksons, except for the korina Archtop (24.75") Remember this pic?

Well, shortly after I sold the black Soloist, it showed up on ebay. And Audiophile (bud since high school)
hit the BIN (after some harrassing on my part). Like most people, he has no problem with the regular scale length.
It doesn't bother him. I, however, can't dial in a decent tone on my amp, but I sure am picky about my guitars.

Here's a pic of both of them -

So, the moral of this story is that I love it, Matt kicks ass, and the Jackson guys do great work. Thanks fellas!
(Although, whoever is in charge of the strap button department may need to take a continuing education class
or something. I mean, it's a strap button! How hard is it to drill a straight hole?)

What the fuck is wrong with that? It looks goddamn awesome to me! Simple, gorgeous and probably alot cheaper than mine! LOL. No fancy top woods, archtops, 1200 graphics needed. The thing just has a killer gold logo, a killer paint job and perfect gold hardware. Don't need anymore. Thought knowing now that the custom shop will do GOLD MOP I may do the Gold MOP logo/inlays on a guitar in the future. Possibly a black King Warrior with gold bevels? I haven't decided yet. But thats one of like 10 different custom ideas I am kicking around, and thats probably a few years in the future My next custom won't be a jackson at all, but a Charvel. I LOVE that gold painted logo.

As far as I am concerned though you have the ultimate custom guitar though in that SLATQH with the quilted mahogany and abalone. That thing is 10 kinds of badass.

Very nice Eric congrats that is extremely cool.We have very similair taste in guitars. My CS is also short scale 22 frets but Mahogany body , maple top and neck with a OFR.I have been tossing the idea around of another one to match it but with a hardtail like yours.

I remember that pic I have owned all of the back row at one time or another.I still own the two Archtop Pros.I probably never get rid of them.

Yup - that looks awesome Maybe I should try a 24.75" scale, just to see if they work for me....

old-school logo looks just right on there. but I think you ruined the guitar by putting an EMG in it...put a custom or custom 5 in there and let that thing come to LIFE!

Great guitar! Love the logo on that too!
Not sure if I dig that location of Volume knob on a Soloist body though.
Congrats!!

I personally like the short scale a lot. I only have it on one Jackson at the moment but I want more...

That is a nice looking guitar. The logo looks great on it. 8-12 months isn't a bad wait for a custom. Have fun playing it.
