Yes, it has a back stay which snaps into place. I'll get you the model number when I go home. I noticed the other Hercules models don't have back stays so I'm glad I got this one. [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

I just bought one of those stands and it works great. Mine is a GS414B. There must be a couple of different models. Mine is a little different than this one.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the big fuss over Hercules stands? Every guitar site I go to seems to mention them at some point.

The stand auto-holds the guitar (pressure-based system) to prevent it from falling and they are big enough to hold something like a Rhoads. A must for pointies... [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Ok, the model I got was the GS412B, and it has a back-stay so the guitar won't swing. The back-stay can be snapped out of the way if it's not needed. I notice the dual and triple ones also have this function (GS422B, GS432B). Great stand. I'm hunting down another now...
