I have this choice up to me right now on my XTRR... where is the input jack located on your rear-loaded Rhoads or XTRR? Pictures would be helpful.

it's a strat jack on the inside of the short wing. -

On my 2 XTRRs it's in the same place as on a std Rhoads i.e. inside edge of the long wingPopular is not the same as good

Inside of the long-wing makes sense to me as then you can tuck the cable round the back inside the strap....Popular is not the same as good

That'd also allow you to play it sitting down. If it's on the shortwing, then the cable will be jabbing into your thigh.Comment

I did not like my bolt-on rhoads with the jack on the short wing. For the reason shreddermon mentioned.
I don't mind sitting with the jack in the long wing.When you take a shower in space, you have to press the water onto your body to clean yourself, and then you gotta vacuum it off. - Ace FrehleyComment

My RR RX10D is rear loaded and it's on the bottem wing........
