the strat head completes this guitar for me...I have the chorine non strathead...and wish I could get my hands on one like yours...congrats!

Shredmonster nailed it....we do our neck heels that way for tone! Anytime you remove wood from that area, you sacrifice tone and resonance. The PC1 is a signature model guitar and the heel is just as Phil likes it for that very reason.

Shredmonster - Great feedback and advice. That's pretty cool how thoroughly you've researched the topic. I'm in love with the PC1, and you're right there's no perfect guitar, it'll take some getting used to the neck heel, but a worthy tradeoff considering everything else.
