my Sully Star is mohogany with a maple neck. i just switched my magnet to the A2 making it a Custom Custom for my sound. LOVIN IT!

OK, so now ive dropped her off at the local guitar workshop.
here's the deal:
they're keeping the EMG's
i'm putting a Custum in the Brigde position, and a Pearly Gates in the neck(it came stock in my shannon, but i replaced it with a JB, so it was just laying around.)

plus im getting a proper set up and fret polish

cant wait till i get her back, its gonna be a whole new guitar!

Pickup tone can also be tweaked by adjusting the height. Drop a Distortion down a bit and back off the volume for a "Customish" tone.

i just learned that there's a different verson og the pearly gates for bridge and neck positions... would it be any problem to but a PG bridge version in the neck position?

No problem at all, as long as it's got equal or less output than the Custom you're putting in the bridge. If the neck pup has more output than the bridge, you might have a problem with it overpowering the bridge pup, then you'd just have to keep the neck pup lower than normal to compensate.
