They almost always look better in real life, same goes for the sharkies. Plus, they vary from kinda boring to really shimmery and colorful depending on the piece of MOP used. My KV1 has some really nicely colored inlays, but the ones in my RR1 are kinda blah.

MOP inlays were not always standard. Used to be a CS option. My bro is the original owner of an '88 RR CS with a inlayed logo. Definatly not a standard option back then.

And I like abalone as well, except for one flaw.
When they use more than one piece, it should be at least similar pieces, and not totally different. Budman, I see they got to you as well... :\
