this is the problem with imports - not enough carved top versions. now if that description on the jackson website for the wrmg had been accurate (it said it had a carved top but never had one), i wouldn't be tearing myself apart looking at everyone's nice custom jobs.

Hey Jim did you have to specify anything to get a top like that or was it just luck of the draw?

Luck of the draw. I can't imagine that you would get a bad looking top from the custom shop though. I guess it's subjective though. Look at PRS. How many 10 tops have you seen that were "ok" and how many stellar tops have you seen that didn't have the "10" on the back of the headstock.

It's so close I can smell it! It will be here today. I'll start a new thread with plenty of pics and a review.

I wish I didn't feel like crap today. It is nice to be home from work sick for it's arrival, but man I feel like dirt.

Awesome top. I have never seen a top that nice on a Jackson. People pay 10k for a PRS with a top like that. What a beauty!! Congrats!

We'll, I had to settle up with Scott and I sent him a personal check so he had to wait to get it and then it had to clear before he could ship it. He actually shipped it out last night and it got here today. I'm just going ove it now.
