I can not wait to get it , full review and pics when it does.

Chris it not a Archtop , just a regular soloist body. But it is also mahogany body , maple neck like Jims , just with a thinner top.

Jims CS is probably partially insprided by the AT/750s.But the AT/750s are set necks so they will sound a bit different.I think the tops are the same size on the a AT/750 but the body itself is much thicker on a 750.

I dunno I saw a side by side comparison of a AT Pro and a 750 and it looked like the AT Pro had a thicker top. Not a huge difference but enough to be obvious. I think maybe its a 3/8 top vs a 3/4 top? It could have also just been the angle of the picture.

                  Re: Custom Shop teaser pics

This guitar was inspired by many Jackson archtops that I have owned. I've had a 750xl, an arch top pro, I own an AT student from 87 and I own and have owned many SLATQH's and SLATQM's. I took what I liked about all of them and added a few things I wanted and this is what I came up with. The one thing I had a hard time deciding on was if I should go with a soft arch top (found on the older at pros/750xls and early at's) or the new carved arch top (SLATQH/M). I went with the new style, but I still wonder if I should have gone retro.

Don't worry Shawn, When the enchilada shows up, I'll take tons of pics.

The finish is actually the early rootbeer that was used on the PC-1's. The picture I sent for the finish was of a PC-1 for NAMM that Dan Lawrence did the stain on. I was told that Dan did the stain on mine as well.

Thanks to Brooks for the pic. It came from his site.

Very nice guitar. The top is amazing, but it looks a bit wrinkled, you'd think they would have ironed it for you before it left the shop. Nevermind, your local laundry service should be able to fix you up no worries for minimal cost.
