Hah! The mutated Firebird is awesome. 2 minis though? 2 coil taps or is one a gain boost? I do love those sharkeye inlays. I've been wondering what the custom shop upcharge is on those. That guitar has one hell of a top too.

So, do other quilted-top colors vary depending on the wood? I know someone posted the honey-colored, rootbeer quilted top in the "Custom Shop Teasers" post...I was thinking the quilted-top black would be as gray and black as possible, not so much brown...although some of them kinda have that "Guinness effect" which is sweet. I thought a Kelly with the quilted-top in black would look really classy...don't know about the hardware color, though. Also, the translucent is different than the quilted, correct?
