  • Say Hello to...

...the Blue Bengal. She arrived only a few days ago. Man this guitar kicks ASS!! It is a 1986 Strat body with OFR. Pickups are original J90c and J50n. Neck and Body have Mike Eldred stamped on it and a hand written date of 7/22/86. It also has 7832 hand written, which I'm assuming is the work order? Here are some pics.

cool. Is there a slight burst to that, or is it just an effect of the light?

Just an effect of the flash from camera.

Nice - glad to see you made the deal with Brett!

That is a REALLY nice score. IMO, maple fingerboard + bengal = ROCK!
Congrats! I am officially green with envy!

But somehow I'll be ok, since I do have a new guitar of my own coming soon

Very cool guitar!!!! I had a chance to play it at Brett's several months ago and it's an awesome guitar. I actually thought about buying it a couple times. Congrats. Enjoy!!!

Yeah it Kicks ASS!! I haven't had a chance to play it through my main rig, so I'm curious as to how the J90 will sound. I'm debating on putting a Duncan Distortion in it, but I'll wait and see how the J90 works out.

Very cool look with the maple board and the blue/black bengal. I think the 2-hb setup is neat, too.

Awesome! That maple fretboard definitely has some 'character' to it.

Congrats. I was very tempted to go for that one myself.
                          Nice grab!
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

nice guitar - but is that really "bengal"? i've seen plenty of jacksons with bengal finishes, but they look very jagged on that photo, suggesting the manufacturer did a more personalised bengal finish in comparison to what you'd find on a usa select.

If you want the history on that guitar send me a PM. I bought that from a local guy(the original owner) for Brett. It is a sweet guitar - congrats.

Here's a pic in its original form, notice the customer ordered gold hardware.
