VB looks more like a darker red than a brown

Hmmm..... I'd call that a "crimson"..... The only violin I ever saw *that* color was electric..... but most are like neon green or something else really obnoxious!
Don't get me wrong, I really like the black dye sanded back with another stain over it, but it ain't no fiddle for sure!Comment

I saw an SL2H in person in violin brown - was definitely more brown than red. Like a dark root beer. No pics, though. Sorry.Comment

Now that I think about it the back looks a lot more like what a brown violin does then the front. I don't have a picture of the back though. Root beer for the front sounds about right to me though!Comment
