Super strat 1987 in the house

87USA Jackson. Black and yellow crackle, ebony board,factory OFR,gain boost,and 2 J-50s with coil taps. SD serial # 1987 no less.In the JCF gallery go take a look.She has seen lots of gigging time thats for sure.The neck is well broken in.

Ok... time to show my stupidity.
Why is it that this strat is a 1987 with a SD plate serial # of 1987 and I also have a 1987 SD plated Jackson super strat with a serial # of 6432.

Because from 87 to 89 the serial numbers of the Bolt Ons weren´t sequential.... who knows why, maybe someone dropped a box of plates during the move and they were from then on forced to grab whatever was on top

They were not sequential. I have another 87 that is 6583 and an 88 that is 3099.

It plays like a dream.This one weighs in at 10 pounds, 2 pounds heavier than my other 87.I will take it apart for cleaning this weekend. I'll bet the body is maple because this guitar has some BITE.It nails the Lynch tone pretty well.
