Very interesting.... AFAIK there´s no reverse headstock option for USA selects, yet they seem to be popping out of the woodwork left and right...

I see a few possible explanations:

            1. There truly IS a reverse headstock option, just nobody here knows about it, including the Dealers, John Walker, and the official Pricelist --- unlikely
            2. Somebody got a bit careless with the serial numbers on a few custom axes --- more likely, and has happened before
            3. Somebody is out there forging USA Selects w/ reverse headstocks --- Judging by the dealer in question, that´s not totally out of the question... but that still leaves a few others....

Again, very interesting to say the least...

He´s well known for forging BC Rich guitars and old Charvels, or retopping guitars and selling them as factory work, or just recently passing of OLPs as EBMM guitars...

And these are only the things that are well documented enough to be IMO considered as "probable to definite"....Let´s just say there´s a reason he can get you literally any guitar you can imagine within about 6 months

Ed Roman employs -- directly and indirectly -- some of the best electric guitar craftsmen you'll ever meet. This is both a good thing and a bad thing.

That would be spiffy if the option were real.
We've been asking for it for a while.
I'de probably go out and order a guitar or two.

                a KV2 with a reverse headstock.
A kahler would be nice too:p

                I'de take a KE2 or a SL2H with a reverse, and a RR1.

At this point I just cannot justify buying anymore guitars.
Unless a production model comes jsut how I want it.
King V. Kahler. Reverse headstock. Green Ghost Flames.

Every once in a while, the custom shop spits out a few "non-standard" options on USA production guitars. It's rare, but it sometimes happens. PC1s with rosewood f'boards, different pickups, gold hardware on USA Selects. You don't see it as often anymore, but I wouldn't be surprised if these are legit.

And - even if they are legit - no, it doesn't necessarily mean reverse headstocks have become a USA Select option. Don't hold your breath.

True, I didn´t even think of this possibility, the Diamond Plate Kellys are another good example...

Maybe Jackson is seriously considering doing reverse headstocks, and put a few out there to see what the reponse would be.

If I were at Jackson, I'd pick a more reputable dealer.

What? You mean that mint Robert Johnson guitar I just bought from ER is bogus?
                            Just a guitar player...

I looked at the enlarged photos. That's not a Photoshop job. It's possible to do in Photoshop and I know people who do it. It cost a LOT of money to have someone do such a great retouching job on multiple photos.

Ed ordered a special run of USA Select Guitars with a Custom Shop option. In essence, these are custom guitars and they are legit.
