In all honesty, I must agree with the term "all good things come to those who wait" or "Patience is a virtue". I am in absolute awe when I see custom jobs like this. It would take me a year to save up whilst having absolutely no social life and would have to walk to and from work. I'm really happy when my retail therapy has been satisfied with a new Jackson import, but it only lasts so long before I need to get out of the house. MY personal toast to those who are / have been prepared to turn themselves into complete wrecks to get the guitar(s) of their dreams.

OK, it's here! I've rushed off some quick pics, but hopefully I'll be able to do better given some more time. It's really difficult to avoid reflections on the guitar (i.e. headstock pic), hence the pics in the case! The first couple of pics are pretty much spot on colour wise, I just need to try to drop the reflection somehow....any ideas greatfully recieved!

Thanks for the comments guys and Zeegler, the top is 3/4" thick. I've played it for around an hour and a half and it feels and sounds great, and given that it's brand new, it's only going to improve as it 'wears-in'!

There are 3 minor points of interest that I've noticed, none of which affect my enjoyment in the slightest:

              - The pickup rings are completely flat pieces of brass: Unlike a plastic bezel there's no shaping at all so the pickups appear to stick out quite a bit.
              - The bridge is non-recessed with no upward movement, but there appears to be a very shallow recess under the main body of the bridge i.e. not under the fine tuners. No idea sure why, unless it's a neck angle thing!
              - The neck pickup (EMG 89) seems to be very, very powerful and so it gives a really nice warm breakup sound, but you have to use the volume to clean the sound up. It sounds nothing like the 89 in the neck of one of my other guitars, but I guess that could be to do with different wiring or something.

This guitar is pretty much everything I'd hoped it would be, and thanks to Matt for helping me out with this one

That is a truely awesome guitar mate. Have you placed an order for a Scott Ian "NOT" Soloist yet?

cool guitar, whenever one of you guys gets your custom in it just makes me drool and go " thats 1 more done and a step closer towards my order, hehe"

but I gotta say a big WTF? about 19 months, that really saddens me. At this rate I'll be lucky to get mine by 2008

Well, I did have to order just about every option in the book though. Perhaps that's why mine is taking so long? *shrug*
