  • So My Non JCF Friend Ordered A NICE CS Soloist--Pics and Specs Inside!

My friend Angelo, who is the guitar dept mgr at my local GC... ordered a Custom Shop Soloist almost 12 months ago and just got it. Here it is in my living room after having auditioned it at paint peeling volumes of course

    2006 Jackson Custom Shop Soloist:

    Snow White painted mahogany body
    Snow White painted reverse headstock
    Diamond inlays
Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates & Dimebucker pickups
    Floyd Rose bridge
Oiled Maple neck with ebony fretboard which is scalloped at the 19th-24th frets
2 Volumes and 1 Master Tone

And here it is next to my snakeskin finish SL2H:

Because of the the extra volume knob his pickup selection switch is in a pretty funky spot... otherwise a pretty much perfect guitar. It has me gassing for an oiled neck CS Jackson too

Another non JCF friend of mine just got a BEAUTIFUL cobalt blue flame maple top SL1 that I have to snap pics of as well. USA Soloists are the best ain't they

Looks cool - I'd have preferred different inlays, but that's why it's his guitar and not mine

Beautiful with the MOP logo outlined in black on white background.

What a weird way to do the transition from wood to paint at the heel.

                I agree about the inlays.
You see these inlays on BC Rich's guitars.
The White Soloist with reversed headstock and matching head look great though.
                Nice guitar!

I'd ask for my money back, they put the headstock on backwards. :P

I agree though, that logo looks super-sweet. I'll have to save that pic for reference when I (never) order my own CS.

Nice ax. I really like the logo. I was told I couldn't have that on my CS. I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed a pic to show John in the ask Jackson section.

                    Your buddy has good taste.

that thing is beautiful. flat-out, beautiful.

weird how its 19-24, though, and not just 12-24.

                      killer. love. it.

That's a pretty nice looking guitar. 10 months must be some kind of record.

.... though the BCR inlays are MUCH smaller and IMO more optically pleasing as a result...

Looks frigging gorgeous. Pretty quick time too, 10 months is probably nothing compared to what some guys have had to wait
