Here are my latest two custom shops. First up is what I'm calling a Koa Warrior Supreme! Solid koa wings, koa neck & matching headstock, flamed maple rails, gold hardware w/Kahler Pro, mother of pearl sharkfins, Dimarzio Super Distortion in bridge, Dimarzio Breed in neck, kill switch. Appreciating koa and vintage BC Rich guitars, I wanted something that would rival the best of those vintage guitars. I also wanted a contrasting mate for my UV Sunburst Warrior. The wood quality on the wings is gorgeous and the rails were nicer than I expected. I was also pleased to see they didn't veneer over the headstock. It's solid. The neck is typically comfortable and the craftsmanship is top notch all the way. It is one of the heavier Jacksons I've played. It has an articulate tone that is fairly bright. The kill switch is super cool too. Never had one on anything before and now I'm questioning why not. Built 100% correctly.
Ordered in October 2004 from Rob at Guitar Asylum. Received February 2006.

Next is my Flat Top Warrior in Blood Drip Graphic with white neck, body & headstock binding. Abalone inlays, black hardware, string-thru, Dimarzio Evolutions in bridge and neck. As far as I know, this is the first flat top Warrior and it turned out looking evil! I never got to order a USA Select WR1 in this color so I had to have one! The red is actually darker than in the pics and it does most certainly resemble blood! You always take a chance when ordering this kind of random graphic. Some turn out with too much red or black but I like how this one ended up. The abalone on this one is full of color, esp. greens which really sets off against the red. It almost looks like the inlays are backlit. Logo is awesome too! This is my first string through guitar and I'm already digging the feel. It weighs next to nothing. The Evolutions have a thick, saturated distortion that is great for darker riffing. Again, built 100% correctly.
