I don't think I should have been stuck with this headache, afterall I bought a 'new' guitar. Vwall says it was fine when it was shipped so it must have twisted in transit. I still don't know why I wasn't given a refund but live and learn.

    WOAH!
I NEVER said you were on your own.
I said you would be wiser to take it to a LOCAL authorized repair center. Becasue if you sent it to me, you would have to pay shipping to me then me to ship it back to you.
If you took it local, you would pay no shipping.
I dont think you will find ONE person to agree with you that I have ever told them they are on their own!

And REFUND> you emailed me 3 months AFTER you bought it.
    You purchased in FEB 06.
Refunds dont work that way my man.

      I feel yeah man. Dan
I'm beginning to feel the same way. I'm in the market for a new guitar and Jackson was at the top of the list. Now I'm leaning Carvin or GMW.

I bought a USA KE2 and it rocks but man it seems that the QC sucks over at Jackson! The routing work is sloppy making the Floyd look like its sitting slanted and it's practically touching one of the sides of the route It’s not slanted but the route is. Also, when I replaced the stock PU's with EMgz they would hardly fit in the neck route but went in perfectly in the bridge. Looking at the line of the PU's and the Bridge, it’s not straight. The PU’s aren’t screwed in straight. The thing is still nice and isn’t effected by these nit picking things but I DO EXPECT MORE FOR THE $$$.

JCM800x, I feel your pain and would have to send it back under warranty as well. You have no choice with the neck that bad. I hope everything works out for you. Maybe as you tuned/setup it, the neck twisted, but from what youve mentioned above, I tend to think the nut is a dead giveaway that it was built with this problem.

The problems I have had with USA made Jackson would not stop me from buying another one, but JCM800x's problems would really test my loyalty to Jackson.

On a side note, I bought an ESP LTD Alexi Laiho V and it is FU*KIN AWESOME! It IS an import but at the price of 1k you get allot and it's equal to my Kelly. Also All the routing work looks perfect!

Ok first off I would find it hard to believe Scott would simply write you off, he doesn't work that way. I also don't blame him for not refunding your money after owning it for 3 months..

With that said .. I notice you are in (Location: Florence, Ma) I'm also from the area .. Albeit I'm not sure where Florence is in Ma... Is this guitar you purchased one of the oiled neck soloists Scott had for sale?

I can tell you by my experience being in the North East and dealing with a guitar manufacturer that has a very different manufacturing envoriment than we do that all my guitars need adjustments 2 times a year like clockwork .. Generally in the spring and in the fall which signals the humidy changes in New England.. Oiled necks are MORE prone to these changes than painted necks ..it doesn't mean it won't happen to a painted neck ..it is just more likely in oiled and even worse in necks that are figured wood ..

My guess is going from S Cali, to Texas and then to a drier climate (As is in Feb here) that the neck warped probably over time .... I certainly think guitars such as Jackson also could be a bit more prone to it because their necks are thinner and wider than say a Fender or a LP ... just a thought ..
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

Dude, I hope this gets worked out for ya. The thing that really bothers me is "All Of The Toothpicks" statement, that should never happen on any guitar of high quality. If I ever even found 1 toothpick on 1 of my guitars, I would never buy another of that brand. I have been very lucky in that standpoint. Jack.

Thanks man, I was surprised by the toothpicks and screws going in to air as well. My $150 Agile had better fit and playability, plus a strait neck, no toothpicks and Grover tuners!

Well I can understand you being peeve off if the guitar is f'ed up but you have a dealer here who didn't sell you the axe that is willing to help you out and your scoffng at him..seems kind of crazy to me.. If the guitar is F'ed up and Matt is willing to help ya out then ya should take him up on it or your complaint becomes fruitless ..
