thanks guys!! yeah it is VERY flashy, but i like that. it does look like there are fiber optic lights in it. it does not take much light to make the colors explode. it plays and sounds like butter. i have not bought a new soloist in a while....this is my first since fender bought jackson. it is VERY high quality. even the pickup ring is metal now instaed of plastic. i paid quite a bit for it (too much if the truth be told) but i wanted this color BAD...ever since i saw it in the catalog on that rhoads (or is it rodes, roads, rhodes....????) i am INCREDIBLY happy with this guitar!!!! thanks for all the nice comments.

Very cool. I still remember a pic of Phil Colin playin one and the light hit it just right and the differant sparkles just jumped out. Very cool.
