IMO abalone would match better with green. But if you are going with red thats a non issue. I personally think MOP doesn't show up very well on maple. Headstock wise I prefer the SLS cause its different. But both are very cool. Color wise green quilt looks fantastic, take a look at the custom shop archives and see for yourself. Red is a classic but IMO green has a much nicer look especially quilt. Hardware color. Gold definitely. With red, black tends to match up better, but it doesn't really matter.
