      Welcome Thierry !

On an SL1 / SL2H (and the string thru versions) the maple face is a thin veneer. On archtop guitars like the SLATQH the top is obviously much thicker (3/4"?), and on a custom order you can specify whatever thickness you want...

Oh, and your English is a million times better than my french
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

1/8" thick, according to the catalog:

1/8'' thick is only for the SL2HT-MA, on regular SL2H in see-thru finish, it's a veneer, as Neilli said.

Not actually a veneer... it was discussed on this board before...

Maple tops on most of regular USA select models are a bit thicker than veneer, something like 1.5mm thick... I call it a "plywood layer"
                          Because I don't say it
                          Doesn't mean I ain't thinking it
