Very cool! Any guesses as to why the red one has an unfinished headstock? Or do you think it is still going through a painting process (possibly for something else on top of the red)? Any thoughts?

The original run of Shannons had the larger control route right? I would like one if it had the traditional SD route. That might be nit picky but a 85 spec'ed soloist with a flat mount floyd, binding over the frets, and the SD route is one of my dream guitars.

charvel junkies 85 soloist is a factory floyd...and it's not flat mounted...the angle of the necks meant you had some pull back on the floyds...not like a recessed trem...but they werent flat mounted...d.m.

I don't have prices on these yet but I've been told this limited run "will be built the way Mike Shannon wanted the originals to be built". They will be available in 5 different colors: ferarri red, gun metal blue, pink platinum pearl, white platinum pearl and black. They will also come with a certificate of authenticity detailing all the specs, etc... I probably won't have prices until just before NAMM but contact me now if you're interested and I'll get in touch with you once more info becomes available.

I would have loved to get in on the new series too -as I have the old ones- but I nearly got an attack when I got the price quotes.. ridiculous high imo
