I'm selling my goldtop to help pay for the archtop. I have it on EBAY right now. The thing is, I knew I would have to part with it, but I HAD to have the archtop. The Carvin is going out too but that's because I need to make some space for one more.
Maybe there will be another LP Goldie in my future. Mine's a 2004, and quite frankly I'm surprised people are bidding it up when new ones can be bought for a few hundred more. It must mean the reputation of the new ones is suffering a bit.
Is that Jackson burst the Pablo Spruce top? They all look great
Yep, that's the Pablo Spruce. And I think that's the official name for it now. Maybe Bearclaw Koa too.
The thing has the best range of any guitar I've ever had. It can be bright, so I've been dialing down the treble a little bit. But when I'm playing rhythm the brightness and treble helps, you can hear every string cleanly. I'm using my footboard to switch to a lower treble setting when I go to the lead.
