  • Jackson soloist original cost

I guy at work say he has an American soloist from the early '90's. He says it cost $2,800 new. is that possible?

Sounds high to me but then I wasn't into Jacksons at that time.

    Thanks, bob

I highly doubt it...that may have been the MSRP of the guitar....but nowhere near street price.....unless he was that heinously stupid to pay that much for a Soloist

Maybe if it were a Custom Shop.

I have a mid 90's SL1 soloist and if I remember correctly it was approx $1200 with lightning sky graphic. That was a really expensive guitar back then.

In 84 ( got it in 85) when I order my with option like a floyd & EMG's it listed for $2400 I Paid $1700 . There was a 6 month + wait and some dealer that weren't authorized were buying them from other authorized dealers that were and would get list price for them. All guitars at that time were Custom Shop and made to order.

He said he wasn't the original owner but that all the hardware was gold. I don't recall what all else he said about it.

I agree. That Prolly was the MSRP.

            thanks

In 1990 the street price for a production Soloist at MF and AMS catalog stores was $1200 and that was with case and choice of 10 air brushed graphics or solid colors.

I'm looking at the receipt right now, & I bought this USA soloist on 10-20-90 for $924.00. That doesn't include tax or the case.
Kinda wish i still had her.

Bear Blow? I'm sure there is a good explanation.

I think it's Bear Feat (Blow Me). Double bass drums read across.

Got an MP3 of this band? Looks thrashy!
