I know I have pretty much whored this pic out, but now I am having second thoughts about the paintjob. I still want the solid body with contrasting bevels, but I am not sure if I want the body black and the bevels blue. I am pretty sure this is what I am gonna get, but if anyone has any better colors combinations in the same style please suggest away:
Also, if anyone has any ideas for some sweet ass sweet radical inlays let me know. I love the sharkfin, but maybe something like scythe and whatnot would be cool. I have a couple of skull tattoos and I am gonna be getting a reaper soon so reaper inlays would be cool, but I have an ESP with skull and crossbone inlays so that one is out. Maybe some Scythes like Alexi Laiho's white ESP, although I love the idea I think the craftsmanship on his inlays look like shit.
Here are some other ideas I toyed with:
Blue quilt KV2 (although I am pretty sold on the Rhoads I may still end up with this one day)
Black RR with gold bevels and vintage pins (I really like this one and it may still win out):
What really attracts me to the one with the blue bevels besides my love for the color blue is the simplicity of it. It was originally inspired by Alexi Laiho's stolen Jackson as with that one I liked the simplicity of it. I didn't want to rip off his one pickup setup as I felt I was swinging from his jock already, but then I decided in a live setting I can never be bothered to switch pickups anyway so even though I love the sound of a neck pickup it really doesnt do me any good in a band situation.
