RR1 Color question

What's the difference between a black RR1 as opposed to a "metallic black" RR1? Is the metallic black a sparkly metallic finish? Is the pickguard a different color?

Black is just plain gloss black, metallic is as you say, a metallic black! The guitar itself is the same, so no changes to scratchplate finish or whatever....

The Dinky XL on the right is Metallic Black. The Soloist Pro on the left is Black Pearl, although there's really not much difference.

Black=plain gloss black solid color

Metallic Black=black solid color with metallic flakes in the mix. So this one is "Sparkly"

Yeah, my plain black DKMGT got these particles too, between the pickups... I can wipe them off though!

I think he was referring to the halberd behind the Rhoads

Metallic colors have larger flakes than Pearls, and are more sparkly under lights. Pearls have almost a matte appearance when lit up.
